i have a 96 blaster bored 60 over the only way u can start it is holding the throttle in when u let the clutch out and try to move it just boggs down and dies. if you rev it up and try moving u can go but it doesnt get into the powerband and is real sluggish. when you riding and you full throttle it it just wont go any faster and seems like its cutting itself out. did a compression test it stayed at 130psi and never dropped.

ive replace the following parts trying to fix the problem:
stator
cdi box
coil
reeds
new plug
ive tried almost every jet and position for the needle no good the only thing that i could think is maybe be the tors

PLEASE HELP thanks

it sounds like it may be the TORS.. Im not overly familiar with the old TORS wiring, only the 2003 model and younger. Try looking for some posts on TORS.. I will check some stuff online.. By the way.. U have to start thinking mechanical as well..

Air leak, clogged jets? but TORS is a good place to start. there should be two plugs on the thumb throttle and on the carb.. Unplug them.. see what happens..

OK, i think I remember..

There are two black boxes on yours, right?

One is for the TORS, and the other is for the ignition.. the ignition one has an orange wire that goes to the spark coil. It also has one black wire that goes to the other box.. Disconnect this black wire, and connect it to the ground! use one of the wires that goes to the headlight to ground it in order to check the engines operation...

how new is your top end and just for the heck of it see if your pipe/silencer is clogged with like a mouse nest or w/e and definately check for airleaks and what is your current mods

Current mods are 60 over dg full exhaust uni filter 230 main

would the base gasket cause these problems if the last owner used permatex instead of a real gasket cuz that's what it looks like he used?

It could have an air leak. Also could be you jetting. I know stock is 230 and with the DG pipe you might have to up on the main. Have you cleaned the carb and the airfilter?

If you have the T.O.R.S. on still that caould be the problem...

id bump up the main jet at least one see how it works with uni filter you definately should go up but a dg pipe is basically a stock pipe so the shouldnt affect the jetting

Leakdown test.May be a bad crank seal also. Many of things it could be but the leakdown will atleast rule out an air leak or something to do with the motor.

I replaced both left and right seals and I also tried bigger jets and no luck. Once I get it started it smokes a lot like it's running way rich I tried leaner jets still nothing. Once i I get it running and full throttle it sounds like it's cutting it self off once it's about to get in the powerband. I'm starting to think it's def the tors. This week I'm going to try replacing all the head gaskets if there is a leak and check the piston and rings.

check if it is burning engine oil if it smokes that bad a seal might be bad check if the oil smells like gas and if it does id ask some one who knows more than me what seal it is
