Need help with TORS removal

I just bought my son a 2003 Blaster and the carb had issues. I read several places to remove the TORS. I rebuilt the carb and got a Motion Pro TORS removal kit w/o the idle screw and tap. I read the carb can be idled with the cable adjustments and doesn't need the idle screw set up. Now, I have little throttle movement and the carb has no pick up, just bogging down and a lot of smoke from exhaust. Any ideas?

you followed the TORS removal DIY on here for 03+ ???
gotta cut and splice the yellow/blk stripe and black wires right as they come out of the CDI/TORS box under the hood

Someone else on here managed to put the slide in upside down. Is the slide cutaway at the bottom like it's supposed to be?

you should also have gotten or get the drill/tap/idle screw for best results
