ok so i have an 03 blaster with full toomey B1 exhaust, .30 over bore jetted, uni air filter

i want to get reeds soon but after that i want to get a stroker crank!!my question is... first off which is the best bang for your buck. the +3mm or +4??
and also between porting install jetting parts labor how much is this going to cost me??
also whis brand should i go with? i want to do this cheaply but it needs to be done right... im planning on drag and mx racing... i have previously raced a 400ex and i demolished it... it had fmf exhaust and thats it. i raced him in a 500ft race "drag style" i ended up winning by over 3 car lengths!! after the stroker kit im hoping to be able to beat my friends banshee its stock except for exhaust

but how much more will the machining cost?
also can u give me an estimate on what this project is gunna cost me?

The 4mil you need to trench the case and clearance it. I run the Vito's 3mm with stuffer blocks about $150 - $160 bucks. Great crank, made here by another company, I can not remember if it is hotrods or not. It runs a spacer plate. Get the stock jug aggressive trail ported by Denny at Flotek $150 bucks, get the stock head cut to up compression and still run pump gas $40 bucks, get flywheel lightened $40 bucks. A bigger carb is a must when ported and stroked. Stay away from the cheap 250r 34mm flatside carbs they are crap. Total you are looking at around $500 bucks all together, maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

You could use the same carb i am using a 35mm the 240 kit is over rated and I wish I would have just ported my stock jug and saved 500 bucks. The flywheel mod will make it rev up faster and get to the power band quicker. The only reeds to get are V-force 3's. They are about $120 bucks, best reeds out there.

Not a problem. If you have any more question just PM me and I will help you if I can. I just noticed that you said you wanted to do MX and drag racing. If you have a drag port done on the cylinder you will lose most of your low and mid range torque and gain a bunch of top end pulling power, not good for MX riding. If I where you I would just get a MX port and race it in drags on occasion.

oh ok... well locally ill mx... but i was hoping to do drag compititions on the sides so ill take ur advice and go for mx porting

No the 3 mil just drops right in. Big bore or standard bore. The 4 mil will require some trenching and grinding, and the 6 mil you would have to trench your case paper thin.

Beating a banshee is still pretty hard to do, if it is lightly modded you have a good chance. I think the banshee has a much better gearing combo in the transmission than the blaster. Tops on a blaster like 75 - 85 MPH banshee 100 MPH +. My buddy is just getting his shee back together and should be around 80 - 85 HP and 100+ MPH, I can not wait to ride it!
