need help with new top end

1- im afraid the head bolts are gonna bottom out and punch through the head,, will locktite stop this? What doo I do if this happens?
2- can I use nuts from the hardware store for the head? The threads came out of one at 13ft lbs

i torqued mine down to 20 ft lbs, u will be fine, just make sure the nuts are the same thread count.

Well I just pulled the threads out of 2 stock nuts and another went through the head off to the hardware store to try again.

tourqe everything down to the specs in your clymers...maybe try and get new studs???

i think you stripped the studs from overtightening. if thats the case take them all out and helicoil them and only tourque to the right specs

First off I am here to apoligize, ended up when I asked a friend that was helpind to set the wrench at 13 he thought I said 30ft lbs. A helicoil later im getting ready to re torque. Thanks for help help though guys, I would be screwed with out you. Ill let you know how it goes.
