i agree. 280 is prob the largest you'll need. remember that in order to check the jetting condition of the main jet, you have to check the plug at wot. that means that the LAST couple of combustions on that plug need to be at wot. so you have to crank the throttle open, let it rev up and hit the killswitch and pull the clutch in at the same time. this is best done on the road under the load of wheeler and rider, and not just w/ the ass end lifted up.
otherwise, you'll be getting the condition of the needle and pilot circuit all confused w/ the main circuit.
also, you HAVE to tune your pilot circuit before putting your attention to the main circuit because changin the pilot circuit will affect the main.
one more thing. if you plan on removing the lid in the future, you're gonna have to rejet when you do that anyway, so just do it all at once so you don't have to rejet twice as many times.
