the shop cant get my banits to stay mounted 20/10x8 8x8 itp t-9 rims he gets it to bead and pops off.. he said he'll just put a tube in and solve the problem??? will that work????

Of it's a real slow leak maybe try slim. I used it on my warrior fronts as the rim was bent to sh*t on the lip

DO NOT USE SLIM, ugh take it to someone with some competence, also if you can get it to bead and it has a slow leak at the bead then try some bead sealer, if all else fails then you will have to but a tube in it.

my left side tires go flat all the time... rear has a small slit in the side wall that goes flat after 2 days, front bead dont seat so it also gos flat after a few days, i just air them up when i go ride..

Yep if it is a real slow leak thats what I do, one of my rear tires leaks through the side wall and I'm too cheap to buy a tube atm.

tell the guy to clean the bead surface up with some emory paper or a wire brush. if the tire wont seat the bead it just needs to be installed properly. if you use a tube you will have issues with the tube spinning inside the rim which could leave you stranded.
try another shop next time, sounds like hes just trying to get you to spend more money on his work

Are the rims and tires new?? Can you return the tire for a new one? I've had tires seal on really messed up rims that could hold air for a good few hours of riding, but would get low after sitting for a few days.

If you can't return the tire for a good one, are you lubing the sh*t out of the bead so that it can slip into place?? How high of pressure do you have to set the bead?? connect the air hose to an unregulated line, or crank the reg up if you can so you get tons of air real fast.....but be careful not to blow the tire up at the same time!

slime is the devil if you work on tires, where I worked we usually charged more if someone brought in a tire that had been slimed, mainly becuase it double the amount of time it took to fix the damn thing cause you have to clean all the slime out, also when you are beading up the tire pull the value cores out, helps get more air into the tire faster. Another thing you can do if you are trying to bead tires up on wide rims is run a ratchet strap around the center of the tire, it will help push the bead out. You may also try setting the tires out in the sun for a good portion of the day if it is going to be hot out, it will soften up the rubber and make them easier to work with.

hes throwing a tube in for now, i dont like the idea of a tube ill try it, im gunna go to another shop and have them try eventually, if you read my other threads he blew the lip of a previous rim bc it wouldnt bead on my spun alum pro-wheels, (60psi boom) got t-9 now 30 psi in the sun one beaded perfect, the other im guessing the one he blew up sat for a day and popped on them off now its on but leaks(slow head said )... should have a tube in today when it gets picked up.

kinda sounds like either the rims are slightly over sized or the tires undersized, or the tires could have bad beads for some odd reason. Never hurts to go over the rim with a wirebrush on a grinder, could be some burrs or rough spots. Have him use tire lube to see if that help the beads seat and put some bead sealer on them if you get them to seat but they still are leaking. I don't have much experience with atv tires, nor not being there its kinda hard to tell, could be a couple things, Good Luck and hope it turn out for the best

just got a email from the guy i got tires from hes sending a new tire, and i have a spare rims gunna mount that and save the tubed rims for a back up! love when things work out for once.

That slime stuff works alright. I have some in my back right tire. The tire has not gone flat in several months, but when Im hauling ass slime shoots out of a small hole on the tire??? Seems weird to me, I get off my blaster and have slime on my right shoe and front right fender. It hasnt gone flat though???? Must work pretty good. Its really good on slower moving machines like lawn mowers. Like the others said, clean with emry, reseal with bead sealer!

If its a brand new tire and your rim isnt tweaked, it should bead and seat period. Yur spending money on a new product. A new product should be free from defects and work as intended. Your tire dealer shouldn't be sticking a tube in it to fix it, he should either get a different tire or give you your money back. The cost of the tire that didnt seat is between the dealer, the supplier and the tire co.. you paid for a new tire and to have the new tire properly mounted, thats what you should expect.

Yep, but in all honesty sometime new tires just don't like to bead up at first, I know this is particularity true with lower profile, or higher ply tires, Mind you on the truck/car side of things. We've had some new off the self that where a pita to get on at first, but after being drove on for a while we're easy to break down and re-bead, and no offence to the tech as I don't know the guy, but it could be he is slightly incompetent with these tires.
