Need help Few questions

Ok I need some help. Which way is the pointed end on the head gasket supposed to point? Also I have a 03 stator that I am going to use but every thing on the bike is 1999 does some one know how to make it work on it?
What spark plug should I get for it.

The up word on the straight side should point forward. that should put the pointy part to the gearshift side.

Ground the extra green wire from the stator coil.

Use a B8ES plug.
