I have a 95' yamaha blaster its bone stock.. I just bought a fmf power core 2 silencer. im saving up for the pipe... I also bought boysen reeds. I havent installed either of them yet. Im wandering if im going to have to re-jet it. ???
I just bought it.it seems to have the best power range in the middle of the throttle band.. or is is my blaster? it seems to bog just a lil sometimes.
ANY HELP?:

with putting just the silencer and the reeds on you wont need to rejet......where is the bogg idle to 1/4 throttle or 1/4 to wot

It doesnt do it all the time. but usually from idle to 1/4 guess ud say.. and sometimes on a flat road if I shift too early and try to power out of it it boggs a lil. that normal? Im new to quads i grew up on dirtbikes.. does the reed spacer made by vito's make a difference u think?

you have to get in the power band on a 2 stroke you cant short shift it will bog.......

you have to get in the power band on a 2 stroke you cant short shift it will bog.......

means u have to be in the correct rpm range....... dont get fooled by buying a powerband lol..... they dont exhist, its just the rpm range you should be in......... no you shouldnt have to rejet.... where do you live? is it real cold? all factors....... and there are much better pipes than fmf! fmf for dirtbikes man! toomey, shearer, dynoport, f7 (project blasters pipe), cpi, dmc, procircuit, i'm forgetting a ton of others but they are all a load better than fmf!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have a shearer and i realllllllly like it! get back to us

I used to ride a kx80 and then a kx250. I was just curious I figured it was me..
I live in southern california. Kinda by la. So I guess I'm in the warm part of the country. Haha the only reason I bought the fmf silencer i. Because I got it on eBay for $40 shipped. It's almost new with new packing I figured it was worth 40

Dont be fooled, The fmf isnt the best pipe out there but it is a hell of alot better then stock.I know this because i have one :D.
If you do buy the pipe you will need to rejet but if its just the silencer and reeds your putting on you should be fine.

I wanted toomey but with no job at the moment it hard to save money.. haha
It reminds me of my atc200x they sound the same almost and the 200x's 4 stroke...
I was hoping I didnt have to re-jet it.. i had a pain rejettin my dirtbike after we bored it out..
Is there a big diffreence between the carbon fiber boysen reeds and the white power reeds?
is there a way to put the newer style front end on the blaster? without alot of modifications? I have a 95'

have you ever rode a blaster with an fmf? if not how can you know that all of those pipes are better? All the left bends look the same i doubt theres that much of an improvement. all im saying is if you have an fmf already its a waist of money to spend $300-$400 on another pipe just for 1-2 hp increase. put that money into other better things like your motor, or suspension.

nah man ive rode many blasters when i was picking the right one to buy with fmf's......... def not as good! he hasn't bought the fmf yet so why not get a shearer for $285 for the same price as a full fmf? i have a fmf on my raptor 80!:D

Cmon fella, not again, that is three threads you have jacked. BUT JUST IN CASE YOU HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO READ THE OTHER POSTS, HERE IS THE INFO AGAIN.

#270 - #290 main but plug chop to confirm. Start with the biggest jet!

What is a performance spark plug, one you put in to add power. Take it out and throw it as far as you can and fit a b8es.

If you premix bump the main up 1 more.
