Alright guys, I got around to taking the blaster apart. Here are some pictures of what things look like. I think it's still stock bore. I Checked the piston size and it was somehow .05 or so under the standard. The top of the piston has an x on it just adding.

Since it is nowhere over I assume its stock? I guess I will be getting the cylinder honed, but what size piston should I be getting?? .010 over the stock??

That is the part of the cylinder that shows the most scratches. Same with the piston.

As you see in the last pic, the knicks in the middle and left are the worst ones on there. Fine to hone?

Now can honing be done by you and your friend or bring it to a shop?

Alright, so I talked to our family mechanic and he said he can get this thing ready for me easily. Hes got the connects to use machines so I can get it bored or honed by him in return, a meal from our restaurant. :D

He wants me to find out what material the cylinder is made of; steel or iron?

You cannot hone that. That needs to be bored for sure.

Also you have to round off the edges on your ports after the bore or you will catch a ring and be in the same situation you are in now, but with less money. :)

^ you can hone like .010 but any more you wana bore it. and yes, chamfering the ports must be done, but if he knows what a 2 stroke is, he will do it...

sounds good guys! thank for the good advice. and piston brand? Wiseco I assume? Whats the best?

do u mean getting the piston in the cylinder if so, put the piston on the crank rod then u have to compress the rings tight to the piston and slide the cylinder over top of it, it usually helps to have someone hold the cylinder so u can compress the rings but it should slide over it nice and smoothly
