also does that bench grinder bounce around when using it? doesn't look like it is on a sturdy base.

brown and white. suggested by 442. no it doesn't move at all. i don't want to screw it down bc it would be in my way the rest of the time the clamps work great. any other issues with my work shee

when i was doing my polishing i used the brown stuff to, it will give a good finish.
looks like you are not finished with the half yet, it does take a while to do polishing. it would take me about an hour to make the brake lever look the way i wanted it to.

POGS? I have only put like an hour or so into it. my prep work is wha is killin me. i started with a 120grit drum sander and that was way too rough. I used those dremmel wheels to try and smooth it out a bit but it is taking forever and those things wear out quick. I think the rotozip is turning too many rpm's for them and i have it all the way down.

i used a wire wheel on my stuff then used the polishing wheel. nice because on the bench grinder you didn't have to switch anything out, one side was the wire wheel, the other was the polishing wheel.
some times i used sanding paper to make it smooth.
