Well at 42 years old, I finally bought one. it was pretty ruff shape when I brought it home, but looked like it was pretty much all there. So I tore it down, and this is how its coming so far.
I also ordered a hydro kit from awk08 (sp) from this forum still waiting on that (just ordered it Friday) also have a DG rear grab bar (six pack) coming for it.
Now i want to find a can and nerf bars for it, then a seat cover and more work on the plastics

Coming along nicely, man. I like the yellow frame. Now just paint the wheels to match and get rid of the purple, (I don't like it; you may have other ideas! lol) and you'll have a nice looking Blasty!

Is that a stock pipe on there? Fine, but if so, you may want to get rid of it in favor of something more high-performing...

Welcome to the dirt pile!

How does it run? You can wake that motor up with an aftermarket pipe, airbox lid removal & a re-jet.

yep I just picked it up last week for 600 bucks
it seems to run real good and it is all stock
i kind of like the purple yellow thing, but even the wife is making fun of me LOL
I would like to find a used exauhst for it, i dont like the stock sound
and yes the wheels will be painted next
i need to find some front tires for it also
I got to ride it around the yard today and I think its gonna be fun
and it will be nice to have rear brakes lol

lookin good, ide get some heelgaurds though. it may look cool with them off but one slip into the tire and you can really mess yourself up. thats why i got some yfz heelgaurds. look in to them, their pretty cheap and look sick. otherwise good luck and have fun!

^^Smart advice on the heelguards. I've run my foot over before...not fun; I'm surprised it didn't break my ankle.

When you go to get some rear brakes, skip trying to make the stock, cable-operated caliper work. You'll never be happy with it. Talk to Awk08 on here. He'll hook you up with a very slick hydraulic rear brake setup. Totally bolt-on, too!

Welcome!!! That is a good deal for $600, and you will love the hydro kit from awk, its way better then the old stock brake..

Hey! dont be hatin on thoes cable brakes! ha i still got a cables and they work like they should. About every 2 months i have to tighten up the adjuster.

Hahaha, OK, OK, I'll give 'em some slack... Oh, wait, the cables already take care of that every two months or so! :o:D

Seriously, though, I have no real problem with cable brakes, except that I pop and ride WAY too many wheelies to trust my ass to a cable caliper that doesn't always stay adjusted. Plus, I've nearly eaten sand when one front brake gets outta adjustment and decides to pull harder than the other. Hydros = less maintenance.

My cables are pretty decient. However my back is kinda squeaky, i would like to switch to hydro when money is'nt that big a problem. Looks good other than the purple, sorry but thats just not to my likeing. FMF fatty pipe is nice to me soo far. Good luck with everything.

I would trade you black front cover for your purple?

Thanks guys
I've already ordered the hydro kit. The rear caliper that was on in was blown apart
Figured it was better money spent just to do it now

And I'm getting a feeling the purple is not a good thing lol

And if I had a black tank cover I might consider it but all I have is that purple set and a spare red tank cover

And a pipe is in the plan if I can find one

Here's a ? For ya all
the power to the lights is only six volts
lighting stator or voltage reg?

Thanks guys

nice start. i have a dg 6 pack rack i would have traded you straight across. i hate them. they are handy but they are big and bulky
