My engine does not turn over, I need HELP!!!

As I crank the motor to fire it up, the motor does not turn over to start. I have checked my carb, my piston everything seems good and also tried the tors trick and still nothing. Does anyone have any Idea what my problem may be?

tell us what happened the last time you were riding it/running. did it die suddenly and not start back up? does the engine spin and just wont fire?

I rode it pretty hard on Tuesday. So the following day I wanted to check if the ATv will fire up w/o any problem. It did not start so I checked almost everything. I know the motor spins I seen the piston go up and down when I had the top off.

have you confirmed that you have a spark? take the plug out, connect it tot he coil and let it lay against the engine blaock while you are turning the bike over by hand with the kickstarter. coulda flowled out the plug. a weak spark is jsut as bad as no spark when it gets gummed up with oil.

if there is a spark, check your stator/flywheel next. its ont eh left side of the motor and it has like 7 screws that hold the side cover in place. once you take off that side cover you can see the flywheel. make sure its not spinning freely on the shaft and that the nut is tight. if its spinning freely, it means you sheared off your woodruff key and it needs replaced.

So I crank the motor at full open throttle and the sun of a gun fired up after the third crank. My buddy from work said I was flooding the carb. Thanks again for everyones input. You guys ROCK!!!
