Hi I'm wodering if a PSI reading of 135 is high for a stock jug motor? Because I have reason to believe that there may or may not be a Hot Rods crank in my motor. But I'm not shure if a plus 4 rod will make these numbers on a stock bore or if the hot rods crank is standard and the motor is bored out? I hope this makes sence. Thanks guys

Well, 135 on stock motor is good. As far as a hot rods crank remove the jug and see what it says on the rod. To find out if u have a stroker, a measurement of the stroke would tell ya that.

I will of corse, However the next time I have it apart I'll look over the crank thouroly or go the easier route of buy ing a vito's +3

pretty decent compression, not unusual
Yea I know Cole 454 has 165 on a 240 jug +3 stroker and I know mine is a pretty stock bike so I figured it had to be a stroker or something since it wasent far along.....

That normal compression. See if there's a spacer between the jug and motor case
No just a normal really thin one by the look of it. I mean if it were there would it be noticeably thick?
Thanks Guys I think I got my answer

Correct, If the engine builder uses plates.

Yea but there are people that mill the head and change the angle of the piston/rod? To not use the plates or is it kinda mandatory even with head milling isint it? But anyway I took a 4 mm wrench and put it up to the head to case line and it's not even close to half It's like .5mm so it's a STD. Hot Rod crank. Whoo Hoo at least the last owner was smart enough to use name brand parts in it that still makes me happy even though it's not a +4 sleaper thanks again.

Also I have a +3 on a stock bore jug @ 67mm. Ken cut my head to allow me to not have to run a spacer with my setup. He also matches the ports to the stroker.

cole454 hua, I coulda sworn your was a 240 bore...I musta been thinking of 2smoker85's IDK ??????????? lowkhalbalr yea I was surprised it was at a strong 135-138

hey guys i have a quick question about pistons, i an wondering if replacing my piston and rings or just replacing my rings will increase the life of my cylinder?
