just wondering if there is any recomendations for my 2001 blaster that i picked up last weekend pics will be up soon already has fmf powercore 2 silencer and airbox forgot the maker thanks

first and foremost make sure that the motor is in good health, the jetting is correct, and that the quad is in good mechanical shape


then start modding

yea it is i made sure i wasnt a buying a pos...lol but how do ino if the jetting is good and how wud ino if i need a carb cleaning?

you need to do plug chops


so if you've checked it all out

what were the results of a leakdown test?

and what is the compression?


there is a TON of info on this site, my advice is to download the manual to help with troubleshooting, and just take a look around a while to see what people do to their blasters and why.

is that really necassary i mean it runs great runs through everygear strong idles all day
and yes there is ive sedit alreay a fewtimes for trany oil and rear brakes

still need to check plugs to be sure your not running lean...

its a good idea to do those tests because it gives you a baseline of how healthy the engine is RIGHT NOW. so if it starts running strange in a few months, you have a benchmark to go by

the leakdown testers went up 5 bucks to 35 recently. still a damn good price. buyin one is a over a hundred bucks and buildin one is around 50 in my expirience. it is also good to own a service manual.

building leak downtest is over $50? wow i think mine was like $10-$15.

but here are some questions
how are the ....
Brake pads?
Bearings?
Ball joints?
Clutch?
Air Filter?
Tires?
Chain?
Sprockets?

check everything to make sure nothing is missing or messed up.
