my blaster has no top end power

could my reeds be bad? it has good power when i tak off but when i get up in rpm its like im draggin my brake.

Did it just happen all of a sudden, or has it been flat on the top always?

I know mines flat on top, and its becuase the pipe is a low-end pipe.

Reeds usually allow the engine to run at slow speeds. At high speeds the reeds are basically wide open the whole time. They can effect this problem but not likely. One sign of a bad reed is flooding while sitting and hard to start. If your flat up top you have a gearing,compression,or lean(fuel) problem

A rich fuel problem could cause this too and excessive smoke would be a sign of this condition

i may have put the clips that hold the reeds in upsidown

I'm confused on that one. Are you talking about the plates that bolt on with the reeds?

yes the plate that screws the reed down
