Hello all ,i have a problem with my blaster 03,yesterday it was running awesome but 1 hour later it die and i cant make run again,i check and the carb ,reed valve ,spark plug, air filter and some electrical wires, only find two wires damaged and they are fixed now,but it is still not running
it have a new wiseco piston and gasket kit so the compresion are excelent
i check with two diferent spark plugs and try with the TORS disconected and it is still not running
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW
any ideas on what can be the problem or what I should check next?

note: one of the damaged wires are from the voltage regulator (black) and the other are from the tailight (blue) they was making contact but now are fixed

The 2 wires would not have caused it not to start as they are a completely different circuit from the ignition.

Is there any spark at all?

did you do a compression test? or just going buy i put new parts in and all is well?.Check for free flowing gas.It says you checked reeds and plug,or replaced plug.if it was running and died i would say fuel flow problem, fouled plug,or not enough compression, and the list goes on

the cylinder was bored to 67mm and the piston is brand new (wiseco 67mm) so i think is not a compresion problem yesterday was the first run and then start of the problem, the spark color are blue ,if is a flow problem where i should check first?

if it was a first run
1.who assembled the engine?
2.where heat cycles performed?
3.was it leak tested
4.did you run it past 3/4 throttle during break in?

X2 on above.

If you have spark then compression test., if poor compression, leak test to see where the leak is that cooked the piston.

i check the engine again and i found a little leak on the cylinder gasket (it was dirty) ,now is fixed but the problem still continues ,is possible that this is out of timming?

here is the piston ,this is not normal right?

Just a theory and I may be wrong!

Did you foul the spark plug?

The piston shows fuel wash and incomplete combustion which could result from a rich mixture.

Is the carb flooding?

Have you kicked it many times trying to start it?

Does the plug come out wet with fuel?

Tou could have a crankcase full of unused fuel and oil which refuses to burn!

Is your head gasket seating correctly? We just put a HG on a 250R the other day that went on without a hitch and was leaking. We took the cylinder and head to a piece of glass with valve grinding compound and used a CR headgasket and it sealed up perfectly. Remember, we used NEW PARTS on a GOOD ENGINE and it still leaked.

However, I've seen engines run with 30 lbs of compression. Looks to me like you're flooding the hell out of it.

For it to just quit running, I'd look at:

Flywheel key
Fuel obstructions (from the gas cap to the jets) and the float rod coming out , causing the floats to stick
MAJOR air leak
Flooding
Electrical

If you have the cylinder off, put a bucket over the bottom end and don't seal it off. That gas will evaporate overnight. Do you have pics of your sleeve? Can you list jetting?

today i was thinking about that and thats the only think what i dont checked (the head leak),after dissensambly the head i add some water on the head gasket and pull the kickstart at the same time and when i saw the gasket this is what i found

there are a lot of water on the gasket and cylinder so i think thats the problem (head leak) but i dont know tomorrow i ll gonna assamble the engine and tell them if i resolved the trouble

I'm telling you like Moses said, flatten those surfaces.

Take the studs out of the cylinder and move it in a figure 8 motion on a piece of glass that's coated with fine grade valve grinding compound and WD-40. Do the same thing with the head. While you're at it, do the same thing with the reed cage and the cylinder at the reed. I'm like MacDizzy on this; I like to do every surface that I can get to sit flat on a piece of glass.

It'll cost about $10 to do it right this time, or you can go through this again in a few weeks/months.

/\ /\ x2 flatten the surfaces and use new gaskets and tension the nuts as per specs, if you do not know how, ask and info will be forthcoming.
