My 240 with stroker build

I agree. No matter what cylinder he is running, (240 or not) Dmc shoud warranty there product. In reality it shouldn't matter what size the expansion chamber is for it to blow out like that. You can run a strait pipe from it and it wont blow out, you would only have a odd powerband if any at all..

Well the one thing I got from this is, When a Fat Bastard goes on a diet,,, He busts his belt buckle..

Surely contact Dmc because they are a reputable pipe manufacturer and as far as I know, there is no disclaimer on using it with a 240 cylinder etc. any expansion chamber on any cc bike shouldn't blow out like that. that's not the way it works.

You're right, It shouldnt have blown out like that lol! Im kind of glad it did though then i wouldnt know what im missing out on. Aside from the the blow out the rest of the system is nice quality. Guess i found out i like my pipes a little loose rather than too tight. Lol!

A vitos Fat bastard is made for a 240 and they are actually hard to come by. Nothing against Dmc as they are also a good pipe but from what I hear are more for low/mid but otherwise an excellent exhaust. Probably one of the best if not the best for low to mid rpm range. It is odd to see it blew out like that.. There good quality..

I would take it if you want to donate it.. ill pay for shipping.:).. I would love to try that Vito's also iif you ever want to sell it let me know....

Get intouch with DMC. I needed a few things a couple months ago, and they were very helpful, and great people to deal with. I just dealt with them via email, but it was a good experience, and things worked out well.

The fat bastard sounds like the best pipe I can run for my set up without searching for an expensive right bend. and it was given to me with the quad
Score! Lol! They are a bit loud....crackly, raspy...love it. The power delivery is smooth too....enjoy!

You are correct about the dmc.....very strong low mid hit.....I think i stinks that vitos doesnt sell the fat bastard anymore......its even hard to get replacement silencers if need be.

Quick question, I noticed before that most if not all pipes have a coupler where the silencer meets the pipe. My fat bastard doesn't have one. I didn't know if the fat bastard doesn't need one or if mine just doesn't have one. I was going to order an eBay silicone one but noticed that are rated to 500 degrees. Is that enough or do I need to find something different that would be rated for higher temps?

Do you mean an O ring? Im sorry but can you be more specific like maybe a pic or something? All expansion chambers that I know of use a flange that bolts to the cylinder and the expansion chamber fits into the flange and is held by a spring. A pic would help allot.

He's talking about the pipe-silencer connection, that usually uses the rubber connector with clamps. I'm not sure about what you would need for that bastard, but it needs to be an airtight connection

Ohh, gotcha. I use antisieze on my connections and have yet had a problem. That along with a coupler like he is talking about should be fine.. I think member Blafterfun484 make and sells the exhaust coupler things he needs.

Yes I was talking about the pipe-silencer connection. I was just going to buy an eBay silicone one in the size I need but didn't know if I needed something made out of a different material rated for higher than 500 degrees or if that is enough.
