mx/xc motor feeler thred

Mom going from a complete stock cylinder with exhaust I a 240 ported with basically everything so I've never really experienced how muh power these got

I mean I'm 15151515

Are TWI? ..........................Typing While Intoxicated? HA!

The 250R is actually detuned compared to the MX engine.
Easy enough to get it back up there though.
Lots of Banshees around here, state of tune and driver skill means a lot.

I realize but wanting to stand out a little with some more power liquid cooled is a big fact IMO if they were air cooled I wouldn't even consider it and for those people that are too g to try and prove me wrong think of how much more hp a dt200 motor puts out than blaster I have looked for 2 years now on every eBay I could find trying to buy a dt200 topend but it's impossible to find I would just do tht swap but yz 250 wouldn't be bad either and not tht hard to do

Actually Triplecrown and I have done a DT200 and my Blaster is of course liquid cooled.
The rad is a pain in the butt! Has to be mounted well and stilll prone to damage.
After experimenting with the DT200 and aircooled cylinders, I believe you can make as much power with the aircooled cylinder.

Hmmm, something going on with Facebook, pictures are not showing up?

Anyway, we have a couple DT200 engines, have made just as much hp and more with aircooled heads.
Read my and Triplecrown's past posts to learn how. Mainly in the head and exhaust port.
Too bad about the pictures, they will probably come back, facebook is like that...

The aircooled cylinder is a dream to work and learn on. Simple and quick to put together or take apart, and cheap.
Our original goal was to learn on the aircooled cylinders and transfer that knowledge to the DT200.
Forget that! The aircooled works fine!

Listen guys, you don't need any big tricks to make these Blasters work.
Rechambered head and some porting, a good pipe and a couple holes in the airbox lid.
Then tune it. Jetting and timing as needed. You will fly!

Yeah, an MX engine is a quick jump up in power, but if you haven't learned to tune you will be all show, no go.
It is a lot easier to learn to tune and wrench on a Blaster than it is on an MX engine.
Voice of experience here.

I have a complete DT200r motor.

All electrical (stator, servos for PV, etc.), cooling, carb, and rightbend pipe (dent in lower tube, no flange).

Just noticed shift shaft is tweaked, I'm waiting for the new one to come in from Yamaha.

Only sell it as a whole, located in Eastern Pa.
