Music?

Well since you guys asked. You guys can thank me for this lesson in music appreciation. Ill just touch on 5 artists that should influence EVERYONE who listens to music. Starting in the late 60's thru the 90's.

Theres alot of good artist out there making good music TODAY but you wil never hear them because corporate radio will no allow you to hear them because their record companies dont have the money to pay stations like the EDGE to play their artists.

I have to disagree with the blastapole outlook on music.

I liked Nirvana, I never got into Iggy Pop, Black Flag, Fugazi, or The Pixies. Couldnt get into any of it.

I like stuff like... Tool, Deftones, Cold, Depeche Mode, Disturbed, Filter, Linkin Park, Led Zepplin, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, White Zombie among many others.

Thats just an idea of whats on my iPod right now.

And yeah, musical opinion is pretty much just an opinion. Unfortunately we as a society have a tendancy of labeling a person based on the music they listen to. I know I do to an extent. I actually end up rationalizing that people who listen to sh*tty ass teeny bop and that sh*tty stripper club crunk music are less intelligent and need to be punched. I then have to remind myself everyones different but meh.

Metal, rock, heavy rock, a rap song now and then.... really anything other then country and hip-hop/ pop culture crap.

I do try and keep an open mind, music is one of those things we all intemperate differently and to call certain something "sh*t" is wrong IMO...

Yeah, i am listening to the nightmare album right now. Its kinda melancholy. I suppose losing the rev was tough. As far as influences from my youth, i would have to say
Fleetwood mac
America
Canned heat
Floyd
Some zep
Jefferson airplane
Maiden
Maiden and fleetwood mac, superb bands. Fleetwood mac gives me chills when i hear the bass guitar. I can honestly hear maiden's influences in the modern metal i listen to. Thx to my dad for exposing me to great music.
