Could someone explain to me how i would go about mounting my new back tires correctly.

I have to agree with redhatman, breaking the tires off the beads is really hard to do. I just swapped tires yesterday. I have a manual tire changing machine, and I couldn't break the tires off of all the beads. Eventually I gave up and took the wheels I couldn't get to a tire shop. They did it for $5.

Puting the tires on is slightly easier, but getting them on the beads is tough. Use lots of oil around the beads to get the tires to pop up onto the beads.

Luckily, I work at an auto shop so I get to deal with all of those customers that cannot break the beads lol. The trick is to air them up a few psi, and then break the bead. You will never get it without air...well you might but its a lot easier with a bit of air.

I know from exreience that trying to change a quad tire is a biotch! seriously just bring it to somebody and get it done with a machine. It will save you about 50 gray hairs.

I have used my truck to break the bead. put extra air in the tire you are dismounting and stick the edge of it under a car tire and drive over it. It may take a few tries but it breaks the bead fine. Monting the tire is a piece of cake. I do it with large screwdrivers like when I was a kid with my bmx bike!

Roughly how many PSI do you recommend having in the tire when breaking the bead?? I like the driving over the tire to break the bead idea!!

Can't you use vasoline for tire lub to seat the bead?? I used to work at a garage and that's what they said it was that helped the bead seat. They used to put a whole bunch of it on and when the bead popped on it would shoot up and hit the ceiling! Nasty, but funny.

Oh, and I duno if anyone would have this problem with an ATV tire, but for wheeling, sometimes when you lose a bead (tires aired down and off camber situation breaks one bead) on the trail the best way to get a dirty bead to seat on the trail is to try and clean it the best you can, then take some starter fluid, spray it all in behind the bead, light match, drop into tire and get out of the way right away, cause it goes boom, and then the bead is seated!! If you're changing the tire in a garage where you have the tools and time to clean up the rim and make sure the bead is nice and clean, you really shouldn't need to use this method. It's definitely fun though!!

when i changed my tires over i used armor all original
works very well and it is designed to keep rubber looking good for a long time ,so its not gonna do any harm to your tires and its very readily available
