I have 2 blasters ('95 stock as far as I know, '00 that I'm working on). Went to Turkey Bay in Ky yesterday on the '95. Had a blast!!! For those of you that have been there, with that kind of riding in mind, I am trying to decide how far I should go with my engine mods on the '00.
I already have:
Vitos +3 crank
240 cylinder (not sure whose) Doesn't look like there has been any port work done
34mm carb (not installed yet)
Vitos carbon reeds
DG performance exhaust ( already plan on replacing that)

I am wanting to make it as scary fast as possible but within the limits of still being able to do the kind of riding I'm doing now (trails and reasonable hill climbing) and also still be reliable (starting on the first kick like my '95)
thanks for any suggestions

if you're going to build a big bore stroker motor, you're gonna need to work on the rest of it!!!!!

some used works fronts, and a 400ex or similar rear would be a great start. you'll also want an extended swingarm to try to keep that front end down lol

Ihappen to already have a400 ex rear shock for it, How hard is it to find some used works for the front and how much is reasonable?

you can find them from 125-250 depending on condition. make sure to get the eye to eye length (you want 14.5 inches) and then the weight of the rider they were built for. plus the original application
