The other day I was riding my 99 blaster when it started to kill once it completely died out I went to kick it off and the kick was jammed. I have no idea what caused it nor what's locked up on it can anyone shed some light and help me out?
I took the motor out yesterday and I'm currently tearing into it now to figure out what's wrong I've never worked on a quad before so I'm pretty much learning as I go hopefully I find the problem
OK I just bought a hot rods bottom end kit with stroker crank and it says +4mm and makes it a 209cc now my question is will this fit because the guy I bought my quad from said they bored the cylinder .20 maybe .020 and the kit I ordered says it has to be machined out 2mm for the longer stroke. Can I use my same piston it was only the main bearings that was jammed from what I was told what exactly am I going to have to do?
The crankshaft you bought will not fit into your cases without trenching them. The cases need to be machined to accept to longer stroke. Here's a vid with some case trenching.

I can do this.[/QUOTE]
Ok you guys are really helping like i said before I'm new to all of this so in order for the new crank to fit I have to trench the jug or whatever you would call it now my next question is can I use the old crank and just replace the main bearings or is it best to go ahead and replace the entire thing?
