Can i use yamalube 2s oil, and premix it at 32-1, or do i have to use a fully synthetic oil, like the honda hp fully synthetic oil i use for my kx 125? Some one said yamalube 2s is oil for injectors only, but i thought it would be fine to mix. Is it?

I think I read somewhere that you can mix it but don't try it until someone else on here says. If you have to ride before then, use the other oil.

it should say on the bottle "for mix or injection"

well ive been threw about a half tank with it it seems fine smokes nice i dont ride hard yet and have no upgrades, but maybe i should change to a fully synthetic like i use for my dirtbike! I dont no! I think its fine for 1quart of use. Does anybody else just use 2s? And thanks again fellas!I:I

2s is for injections systems only... 2r is pre mix only.. says on the bottles... if you looking for a better oil i run Klotz R-50 only thing i run in my wheelers and bikes

Lol someone may have a booboo then.

lost me ^^^ but i ran that 2s in my blaster when i 1st got it and blew it up like 3-4 months later heavy scratching and i mean heavy ring took out the sides pretty much.. always read the directions!!! even though they are wrong alot and my designs are better haha..

You won't instantly hurt the engine if you mix Yamalube 2S oil, but the 2R should be used instead, if possible. This is because 2R oil stays 'in suspension' with the fuel much better than 2S. In other words, if you premix 2S oil, it will tend to separate from the gasoline and settle to the bottom of the tank while the bike sits. The next time you go to start the bike, you run the risk of either getting a float bowl full of oil, or burning up the engine, since much of the oil has settled down below the level of the fuel pick-up inside the tank. As a result, the only thing flowing to the carb. with the fuel valve in the 'ON' position winds up being nearly-straight gas. Ouch. :o

2S oil is formulated this way to permit it to flow better from the oil tank to the oil pump, but as a result, it doesn't mix well with the gasoline in the tank. I run Yamalube 2R in both my Blasters without problems. However, they have not had any internal engine mods done yet. There are better oils out there which outperform Yamalube, especially on hotter-running modded Blastys. Just my .02. Talking about 2-stroke pre-mix oil is kinda like discussing exhaust systems. There's gonna be a debate going in short order. :D

dont bother with the yamalube... save your self the time.. if you running the pro honda hp2 in the kx run it in the blaster also!! i ran my 2001 blaster well over 80 hours on it.. in thoughs 80 hours i only changed plugs twice and that was for jetting changes

Okay, im drainen the tank today and mixin some hp2 or klots or some full syn 2 stroke oil, i want the best. This atv was sold to me and guy said it needed a top end rebuild and it was gonna blow up, but because of this forum and u guys, u saved my quad it sounds totally different since i did the block off and tuned her up, it screams and runs solid, I want to thank all you guys again, so thanks! I:I

okay im jetting my blasty for winter 5-30%. it has a 230 in it now runs great, but when i look at the plug it is still white way deep down in there, so should i just go for a 240 or 250 jet? Will going up 1 size to a 240 make that much difference?

Yes, it should make that much of a difference. When you purchase a new blaster they come with an extra 240 main jet so you can put it in for the colder temps. Put the 240 main in and then do a plug chop to make sure.

I put in a 240 and some 100%hp2oil, and its perfect you guys are great thanks!I:I Man i still have one problem, I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT RIDING MY BLASTER AND WHEN I DO RIDE IT ITS SO FUN I FORGET ITS COLD OUT AND HAD TO POUR HOT WATER ON HANDLE BARS TO UNFREEZE MY HANDS WERE STUCK TO THE HANDLEBARS!:D:D:D
