Well I finally got my blaster out riding this weekend, and noticed on the way home when I really got into it and got into higher RPMs I had a slight miss, back out of the throttle a 1/8 turn(set up with a twist throttle atm till I get my cable in) it went away and pulled strong. Well the next day I was riding it a little bit and was going to follow my dad to the river( like 1/4 mile from the house) and got into it and it missed like crazy. Now running anywhere up to half throttle or so its ok with no problems at all, its just when you get into and get into the pipe that it starts it. Also the day before the only time I had a problem was in the top couple gears, up through 3 or 4 it didn't have any problems. Any ideas?

Thanks
Levi

yeah, um it sound like you have a problem with your main jet.. this characteristic of it.. When you say missing, you mean just not accelerating, or stuttering?

Check that your main jet has not come unscrewed!

carb out and take off the bowl, chances are its loose or in the bottom of the bowl. Should be a quick fix..

Go for a ride, and right before you stop back at ur place or wherever u stop, go around full throttle for about 30 seconds, dosent matter if its missing.. What color is the plug? is it wet and oily?

Just an update, Took it out last night and after letting it idle for 5 minutes or so, I started putting around the yard for another 5-10 minutes, then I started riding a little harder and it was missing pretty bad past 1/4 throttle, so I putted around for a bit more then went and shut it off to do something else for a few minutes. I got back on and it was running better no where near as bad as it was previously. So I decided to make a run down to the sand bar where I stretched it legs and running it pretty hard with no problems anywhere in throttle or powerband, and on the way home I run her WOT with no problems, so I'm thinking there was some dirt in the carb that just need a good running to deal with. Also I pulled the plug to look at it and it was very clean no carbon or oil fouling, and it was pretty well a dark brown on the insulator and electrode.

Thanks Guys

You should probably take your carb off and clean it still.

I agree with that. With any type of bike or even car if you feel like you got a problem you should try what your comfortable with fixing or take it to a shop and not continue riding or driving it. It could easily turn a little problem into a complete rebuild or a scrapyard run.
