Anybody know anything about this carb? I am not sure about the throttle valve design and how it works. Searched all over the net and didn't come up with anything useful. I am getting a brand new one for 75.00. I hope it will work with the folowing:
I am getting the cylinder "Dune" ported by G Travis racing and shaving the head 0.020 as well as taking 0.015 off the top of the cylinder. installing a FMS fatty Gold series and PowerCore2 silencer.
I will be running 50/50 mix of 91 pump gas and VP110 race gas
What do you think? Too much carb? The TM34 is recomended for 125cc mx bikes and the TM38 for the 250's... Seems like a big jump from the stock 26mm!

if your going to spend the money on all that work you should go with a better pipe then the Fmf. i have the same pipe but i dont have the mods you will

in my experiance the 34tm flatslide is a total piece of crap ..get a keihin
do a search

you should contact your builder and ask him ,dont go too big for the engine setup or youl just lose all your lowend torque

The TM 34 is a good carb, it's just jetted TOTALLY!!!!! WRONG! out of the box.

The Mikuni TM 34 comes with 280 main, 50 pilot, 389-Q2 needle jet and a 5FP-17 needle.
The midrange is WAYYYYYYY!!!!!! FFAAATTT!!!! and the top end is waaayyyy LLLEAN!

I've got mine jetted to 380 main 47.5 pilot and I dropped the needle jet two sizes to a 389-P8 and the 5FP-17 needle clip in the 2 position.

What ever carb you go with don't try to get any info out of SUDCO, they're IDIOTS!!!!, the only reason they can tell the difference between a Mikuni and a Keihin is that they can read the label on the box!

Hey, Thanks! :)
The TM34-2 fell through, I have a Keihin PWK coming from ebay. A whopping 31 dollars shipped.
I also have a line on a TMX38 cheap.
