might need a new connecting rod

dipshit, shut the f*ck . your knowledge is nothing.
i told him to ask ken how much it would be to fix his stock crank. i never said to get it ported then put a +3 stroke in it after it was ported.

i told him if he gets a +3, he will have to have it ported to actually gain anything from the extra stroke.

also like sicivic said. those cranks are not really ready to be dropped in. they need to be "fixed" which cost more money.

like i said before, there is a proper way to do things, then there is your lazy way. do it right the first time or dont do it at all.

hey fellas im a noob I:I i just bought a 03 blaster the other day. its got a full fmf pipe and carbon fiber reeds and the top end was rebuilt. said it only had about two hours on it so it TICKS. is he bsing me? it runs fast on the low end and high besides the crab need cleaning but maybe i need a new rod?? from reading this discussion i guess IF i do need a rod i should get a stoker

i would assume that just normal air fooler noise. any chance you can get a vid of it??

My lazy way? Why the f*ck do you have to be so rude when it comes down to all this sh*t. You may know quite a bit about motors, obviously nothing about money. I was throwing the porting factor in, not saying he was gonna do it, just throwing it in there. I would much rather get a non ported +3 stroke for temporary use, then when i get the money for some porting, get that done. So being lazy has nothing to do with it, all i said was it was no fun to get inside the motor, i was coming to conclusion, my riding time gets taken away.

If your looking you plan on doing a big bore, go ahead and buy the stroker, then when you have money, you can get a 240 cylinder or sleeve, +3 stroke, ported blaster, you can haul some ass then.

ok im gonna make a video when i get home. but idk how this site will upload with the size limitation or what not but i'll try. like i said i just bought this and im good with my hands but im new to quads. i have full fmf exhaust, k&n filter V-force delta 2 reed so idk where to start to make it better. i just hope its not my rod bc yes i do wanna get a 240 big bore but thats gonna have to wait. in the meantime i just hope its not the rod!! it drives fine, starts right up so it doesnt feel like its bad. i wouldnt even kno if it :owas bad anyway wth am i talking about?? lol. also has

full body armor skid plate and aftermarket swingarm
skid plate t.m. design chain roller Red Brake block, front ITP aluminum rims
rear maxxis tires

you sure it isnt the usual rattle the blaster motor makes?
before i pulled the head off my blaster i slowly turned the crank over with the kick starter and then i could hear the knocking sound.it was loud

idk.:-/ im new to quads man and my friend has an 98 blaster and his doesnt make this sound. i hear the tap from the motor like its a playing card we used to stuck on the back of our bikes when we was kids. so idk. i hope its not the rod sheesh. the guy i bought it off of said he had top end rebuild or something like that and it only has 2 hours on it so supposedly it hasnt even been broken in he says. could it be he knew the motor was goin and played me?X( Oh so i should slowly turn my kick start to see if i hear a knock? when i kick start it it doesnt make no tap or knock just the usual trying to start up thing. is this a simple way of determining if the rod is bad?

man that sounded aweful! If i were you demo401 I would buy a topend gasket kit(oem basegasket only) take the topend apart and take a look. the noise you said soulds like a ring might be snaging.

Did u look @ my video? Fml! I bought this quad to have fun in the snow I really didn't wanna rip the motor apart I have too many projects already. I guess I'm screwed. I've never worked on these motors before just cars and street bikes. Changiing the ring is pretty simple right? The hardest part would be sliding the cylinder back in? Timing it? Can some1 tell me a how to on doing this? Looks pretty simple. 1 time I did a top end on a 60cc and didn't know I had to set the ring at a certain spot. Drove it around til eventually there was NO compression what so ever. Totally destroyed the head.oops. Lol. Hey I'm a NOOB!!

what are those spatters on your brake pedal adn on the kickstarter? is that 2stroke spooge coming from a horrible headgasket leak??? that loud ting ting ting sound like a leaking headgasket and the hanging idle sounds a bit lean but imo im not hearing any bearing noise. thats a good thing lol look in between your head and your cylinder, it there a ton of sh*t leaking?

nothing about money? dude you are a dipshit.
it is also cheaper to do everything at once than to do it over time.
since you are dumb i will break it down for you.
when you buy the crank, you have to crack the case to put it it, that is a lot of time. plus you have to put new gaskets in, money.
then after a while when you want it ported, you have to take it apart again, which is more time, then you have to replace all the gasket, more money.
and dont forget about shipping because that is more money.

and you are one to talk about knowing about money. you dont even have money.

oh the spatters are snow wet marks. i have nothing leaking from the motor. so what should i do? i mean idk if i have a bad motor? could the thing get worst fast where other sh*t might break?

here is mine.. they are noisy motors by nature but you have that weird TING TING from time to time that you dont hear in my vid. i would pull your head and take a peek at things. thats a $10 gasket.. no big deal
