First off I searched posts and Google before posing this question but could not find an exact fit:

I have the infamous useless non-hydraulic back brake. I can stand full weight on it and get it to do a little bit of braking but not enough to stop the Blaster. It does not lock up, just does not stop the Blaster. To see if it would improve without the parking brake in the way, I unhooked it and had the same response---very little braking, so this makes me wonder if a Shorty cable is going to be a whole lot different than this, but I am open. Pads have lots of wear left and rotor is in great shape.

So I took the caliper mechanism out and one tiny piece came out---it was a very tiny rod shaped piece about 1/8". Each time I took out the mechanism to manually readjust it, more rods came until there were none left. I believe the auto adjust function is toast.

But, the rest of the mechanism is perfectly intact so if my math is correct I "should" still have brakes, just no auto adjust. So I did and the brakes work the same---they work very mildly when I push down, and they fully retract when I let off. The width of the internal caliper mechanism did not change one bit after the rods came out, it did leave the big washers that the rods were in between so these are just in there loose but not in the way. I can still twist the white cap at the end of the mechanism to manually adjust the brake pad push rod on the opposite end.

So, I cleaned it, lubed it, put it back together and it still does not want to work worth a dang. I guess since we have had the Blaster for 2 days now, I did not want to put a ton of $$ into it so soon if not really necessary. Maybe these are just front brake machines.

PM me for more info and pricing, when you figure out all that time wasted trying to get them to work, if even for a few rides, then do it again, and again, ect.
isnt worth the effort.............

Well that is the best solution I have heard thus far for this POS rear brake system.

FYI::::::::I just finished ordering one of these here hydraulicated brakinating systems from AWK a few minutes ago. I had this awful vision of seeing my son riding the Blaster unable to stop in time and getting hurt, or worse. This is a very small price to pay for that peace of mind.

parts just ordered, your son will be safer in around 2 weeks
thanx for the business bro !!!!!!
