main jet size question

I have a 97 blaster bored .060 over with wesico piston, fmf gold series pipe, stock carb, stock air box. the jet that was in it was a 220. A friend gave me a 310 jet but its to much, so what size main jet do you guys think would be best to run. Also are there any other things I should be doing?

most fmf users are in the 270 (+ -) range, and you should be doing "plug chops" along your jetting journey, search for them in the diy section

what he said, you'll probably land around a 250-260 with the lid on, anywhere from 260-290 without the airbox lid and with a good filter
