Later on today I will be picking up an LT80 from a friend for $120. It's kinda a basket case... It's in need of a top end rebuild and MUCH cosmetic help. I have a non running LT80 myself that I never did anything with (Engine cases split in half while riding it one day.) So, before I put in a new top end, do you guys have any input? Does anybody have an LT80 themselves? I'm thinking of getting a BBK or Stroker, one or the other because I'm kinda big for it(110 lbs.) Any response would be nice. Thanks guys.

Lol I would hope with a name like "LT80" that he would.
Thanks, I'll do that. BTW, what happened to the Zilla in your sig? I always loved seeing you post just to look at that Zilla lol. It's nasty man.

CARNZ's 'Zilla got traded for the bike you see, I believe...

I'm no expert on LT80's, but I worked on one a year or so ago and it was a lot of fun to ride once I got it fixed. I'm 165lbs and it hauled me around no problem. Wheelies were SO easy. lol.

I'd go with a good port/polish job and definately ditch the stock exhaust to start with. Shocks would be another item I'd want to upgrade in a hurry.

Maybe I'll stay with the stock motor then... Lol I figured this thing would really have trouble carrying me.

The November 2011 issue of DirtWheels has an LT80 build by CT Racing in it too, so pick up that issue and do some reading.

Yes, I traded my Zilla for the Ninja in my signature. You can see the final Zilla pics thread in the Pics/Vids section. As much as I hated to let it go, i rarely got to ride it :(

/thread de-rail lol
