Ok I'm gonna rebuild the lower end with help from a friend and I wanna order all the parts at one time so I can have this thing all finished in one day.

Here is a list.

I am presuming that you have had the barrel measured for wear.

The machinist must have the new piston in hand before the re bore is started as they require a different tolerance.

yes it was measured and will need a 67mm piston.

What I was aiming at saying is that a cast piston should not really be slipped into an old bore, they really should be fitted into a fresh bore cut to their tolerances.

I have witnessed a few forged pistons that have been fitted into a supposedly good cylinder, meet catastrophic destruction.

With a forged piston there is no room for mistakes.

Well I looked up the oem gaskets and they are cheaper so I think I will order all oem parts except the vito's crank and piston.

Stroke it!!!

Your buddy your doing it with and you are really good mechanics?

Rebuilding a top and bottom end takes ALOT of know how.

Not to try and discredit you or anything by any means.

Just saying this isn't exactly a job for beginners. Best of luck tho.

So you can see its missing one of the washers.

I'm gonna order the stroker crank but what I need to know is the space that vito's include do I use a oem base gasket with that or just the spacer. ?
