lower end problem

i have a problem with my lower end and im not sure what it is and i was hoping somebody could help me diagnose it. It wont go into gear. I can move the shifter up and down like its supposed to and it goes through the gears but i cant get it to spin the sprocket or anything. I was thinking that maybe it is a drive gear or something. Any help is appreciated.

My guess is it's clutch related.
When you shift gears can you at least hear something going on in the cases?

yeah i can hear it shifting. when it all happened my clutch handle lost some tension so like when it used to start pulling when the handle was all the way out now it pulls when its half way in. but if it was the clutch wouldnt it still go into gear and just stall?
