Lost power riding today

So my blaster was running very smooth and great for a few hours of riding.

Then i decided to rip some donuts in some gravel under a bridge.

About 2-3 minutes after riding on down the trail i feel a big power loss,

so i stopped and it died,i kicked it over and it started fine,but would die instantly after letting off the throttle

It smokes more thena freight train since the power loss

I tried adjusting the idle screw and it does nothing

Also while riding i hear a knocking noise every once in a while

my topend and piston is about 1 month old

Dont have a compression tester but iam going to pull my topend off tommorrow and see if everything is still in tact

Opinions?

PS> also my right side crank seal has been worn out since i replaced my topend and has been smoking,but now it is smoking ALOT more

Could the seal have completly went out? and thats why?
 
Will that cause you to lose power?

I know my seal was bad but ,think it went completly out causing me to lose power?

Yeah it will ur just adding oil to the mix. just go and replace both seals well u have done 1 just fix the other. To lose power u f..K ur rings up.

Will it cause the knocking/slapping/weird noise from the engine?

I have NOT replaced my left side seal(magneto) and i have not replaced my crank(right side) seal either

But nothing leaking from left side,just smoking.

Slapping or knock bad sign bottom end, or piston slap thats more like ping not bang bang.

Well it may not be slapping,pinging,or knocking, its just super low power as if is about a 50cc engine,bogs in mud and dies unless i clutch it a little to get a rev.
 
when you did your top end did you just put a new piston in or did some one mic it. a piston is suppose to have .002 to .003, 1/2 of cylinder clearance if it was like .004 ya it will run but over time the more piston slap with more piston room it will start to get bigger like .010 the a loss of power and noise how ever if you new your crank seals were bad why would you not change them you may have dun more damage :(

My topend was done 100% correct,and i did know my crank seals were bad and i asked the shop how much to replace the seals and they told me 200$

FORGET THAT

and i dont have the tools nor the money for the tools.
 
hmmm well you can do crank seal there not to hard you can just pull the motor down as much as you can then take it to a shop pay then just to split the case then do the work your self save you self some money were all her to help each other out if you need help just ask am sure some one lives around you with a case spliter
 
i work on yamaha golf carts for a living i have had a few blaster motor come in my shop the only thing i need was the case spliter
 
Thanks yb,thats a pretty cheap holder,and i jsut found my grandfathers torque wrench in his E250 work van,damn that took alot of searching,giant van
