Loss of Power 4th gear

Guys- My son just purchased an 05 blaster, not sure what's been done to it but it runs strong all the way to 4th gear, then kinda bogs down and has trouble getting in the power band.... any suggestions?

clean carb
check/set float height,
DIY's can be found in the carb section.....

elcetrical problems sometimes show as high rpm bogs.....
unscrew plug boot, cut 1/2" off wire, rescrew boot on, or new NGK boot from auto store
check black ground to frame at coil for clean bare frame connection
