I posted on here about a month ago or around there about my blaster revving high without me touching the throttle and then continuing to grow louder. When I would let go of the clutch in first it wouldn't go anywhere it would just sputter and die. Well the same problem only this time the d@^& thing is going in first. It doesn't go fast but it goes. The last time suggestions were blown engine (not likely as it still runs fine most of the time), air leak (likely), and clogged from going slow. Last time I popped off the exhaust cleaned it real nice and had no problems. Saturday was my first day of riding it pretty good for more than 20 minutes at a time. Rode it pretty constantly in 4th gear at a decent rpm, never went over 5th. After about two hours of riding with some breaks. I had it wide open in 5th and it started sputtering and cutting out and died. I was thinking tors but then it just kept doing it and then it started revving. Thinking that the tors is coming off in two weeks when I'm home again. But the revving thing worries me a little. I am starting to think that the slide in the carb is sticking, does anyone else think this is possible? I was going to take it off and clean it up really good and replace the jets with the jet kit I got. What are some other thoughts? I would appreciate any thoughts that you guys might have.

The engine is not blown though, it starts right up and goes just revs high sometimes. Appreciate not being scared with that one again. :D

It ran fine the whole day though, it just started acting up when I was on my way back to the garage. Wouldn't an air leak show itself right away? Not come and go?

is it still there consistently after it started? check the carb cap and make sure it hasn't rattled loose. base nuts and head nuts also come loose a lot

I tightened the one that was at the middle of the head on top last time it happened as well. Could be it, didn't have time to check it out because I had to head out. Gotta take the carb apart anyway so I'm going to clean it really well when the jets get replaced. Check the bolts too while I'm at it. Any other ideas? Like to have a running list to check.
