I've wanted to do this for awhile and finally figured out how to do it..

1" Hardwood (oak) Bar Risers!!!!!!!!

and then made 2" extenders on the front fender cross brace...

That looks good. Did you put any varnish on them? Wonder how they'll hold up with the temp changes? think they'll end up cracking?
 
i have used an extra set of bar clamps before to get a little rise..just flip them upside down and put them under the bars with longer bolts...the hardwood is definetely innovative but i would not trust it.i would think it would crack or not hold the bars tight enough and let them move around.
 
I made some before out of an old tire.
It raised my bar and dampened some vibes I:I
I used the same deal to mount my Digatron.
