left crank seal....got it guys ready for work?!? lil help

wha?

Left crank seal, as in the flywheel side? To pull the flywheel you need a flywheel puller to fit the blaster. Any other method could result in damage to the flywheel, electronics, case, or all three. You can buy a puller off Ebay for ~$15 shipped and it's a worth while investment.

Yea new to blaster and 2 strokes period....lol I'm an auto tech and have all kinda pullers....I've talked to other guys on here with previous problems..

Do you have a puller to pull a motorcycle flywheel with a 27mm x 1.0 left hand thread on the end of it?

If not, you'll need one of those to work on the left crankseal on the blaster.

Once you've got the flywheel popped off the taper, you pull it and use an impact screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the stator plate to the case. Once the stator plate is off the quad, you pull the seal out by any means necessary EXCEPT damaging the case. If you nick the case, you'll have a leak around that seal forever and you don't want that. Lather it up with 2 stroke oil before you drive it in and use a FWD axle nut socket to drive it in straight. Once it's seated, you need to leakcheck your engine to make sure it's not still leaking there (or anywhere else for that matter)

best way i found to remove the crank seals is by a fat flat head screwdriver and hammer it in like an inch then pry it out it will probably take you ten minutes of hassle and make sure you use oem seals or at least a good brand like hot rods or all balls

i am also a mechanic trust me you need the RIGHT puller for this job. i thinki found mine for about 10 with free shipping on ebay. money well spent your gonna need it again i am sure of it LOL. also if your a mechanic i am sure you know or should know how to remove a seal. i use a drill and slide hammer but there are may ways to remove seals.

You can also use a screw. Thread it in untill it grabs good and then just pull on it with a pair of pliers. might have to do it once on each side but it works well. And deff get the flywheel puller, it makes this a easy job
