LEAK!!

do i have an exhaust leak? its leaking oil out of the exhaust pipe where it goes over the flange. im currently using cardboard temporarily for a flange gasket. theres no smoke coming from there

Nope very common. And cardboard? That burns pretty easy.....

Black spooge is very commonplace, unless there is an air leak there all should be well and not affect jetting.

It would be a good idea to get some suitable material to make a gasket as cardboard wont last too long and could create an air leak.

No F'n way! Most times when oil or gas comes out of an exhaust connection that means it's leaking!
