kx-80

Okay so a buddy of mine has a 84 kx-80 that he never looked at the radiator fluid in so I went over there today and worked on it for him well his radiator was bone dry. So I put water in it and gave it a few kicks and looked in it and it had crank case oil in it. What is wrong with it?

We tryed for probably an hour pushing it and hoping on it and poping the clutch to get it started and we even tryed kick starting it. I cleaned the carb checked to see if it had crank case oil in it which it did. I once got it to fire for a couple seconds then it died and we couldn't get it going again.

pluged exaust, new spark plug something in the air intake clogging it

Okay but how would it be getting crank case oil in the radiator?

sounds like the water pump seal is leaking. i have only herd of them going and dumping water into the bottom end not the other way around but any thing is possible.. is your gear oil nice and white?. hows the comp on the bike?.

Well he uses red gear oil.
