knocking

My 02 Blaster has a knock IDENTICAL to this

In the thread i found that they said it could be the parking brake lever but I do not know what that means? My quad doesn't have the same bogging that one does, it runs AWESOME.. if anyone has any ideas let me know supposed to sell the quad in 9 hours! And the plug is PERFECT

a parking break lever would never make a "knock" a rattle yes. Please dont think Im being a jerk, Im not.

In the mechanical industry when dealing with sounds of some sort of problem each term used like, Knock, Ping, Tick, rattle, and such really mean totally different things.

The sound clip on u tube did not sound like it had a knock it actually sounded fine other than it dies after 20 seconds of running. There might have been a weird sound there but It was hard to hear for sure.

The problem with that Blaster is that they need to push in the choke and clear it out!, mine sounds like that and it runs SWEET!

Like I said my quad is not running crappy, i guess i have the same rattle, knock as that one did

i think all blasters have a knocking sound it may not be loud but its there ..

Sounds like piston slap to me. Have you checked the compression lately along with the clearance?

Compression is awesome had a tuneup july 14th and the guy said the engine felt brand new, i popped the spark plug out and didnt hear any slapping when i kicked er over

its prolly cuz you have ur parking brake engaged...like someone said earlier...cuz wen its engaged it wont rev past 1/4 throttle...so see if you can adjust it and then try it
