kickstart wont recoil

most likely. take off the clutch cover and check it out.

Mine just did that and a spring broke, and all the clutch basket ears broke off. No biggie really though. The spring is cheap, and now I have a reason to upgrade to a billet clutch basket!I:I

take the clutch cover off and see maybe it just came out of the grove or it could have broken

the only way it could come out of that hole is if it broke

Most likely it is broken.Take it apart and check the spring.Do not start it up at all,you don't want any pieces getting in the clutch etc.

mine did the same thing when i installed the oil block off and got it put back together...so that was fun, damn spring popped off ...
