My blu blastys kicker is shot...it won't stay in and keeps hitting ur leg while riding
Very annoying any tips or do I just buy a kicker??

It has a spring with a little ball at the end. You need to replace that or you can take it off and add another ball behind the spring to make it stronger.

my local dealer worked with me on finding a solution to this, and we came up with a suzuki or kawi ball and spring from a streetbike passenger peg, i took my existing ball/spring in and we tried 3 different ones till we found what worked

i gave out all the extra ones i had, but it works good, yamaha does not offer those parts as replacement, only a whole new kicker iat $90+, and a used kicker from ebay may do the same thing
so replacing the ball/spring is the best option, IMO

oh you could just use a short bungie cord and wrap it around the kicker and hook the end to the frame.

i like the banshee rebuild kit, who wants to be the guinea pig ????
and i tried an S hook to the pipe gaurd before, when my sons had stock exhaust, it was a pain

that could work but would be a real pain having disconnect the cord everytime you have to start.

disconnect? never did it with the banshee, just kick it down and the bungie will give, but when you let go it will shoot up and in.

Haha I like the redneck bungie idea....lol I think ill replace the ball and try to do it rite its my wifes she's a its gotta be perfect kinda girl........if ya kno wut I mean

I have the same problem. Yesterday I rebuilt my clutch and now the kickstart doesnt recoil back up when you kickstart it, so now it really sucks cause when your riding it pops out and now sometimes falls down. I think either the spring came undone when i took the crankcase cover off or the spring broke. I think I will just get a new kickstart........?

/\/\/\ a new kicker at $90 ??????
your spring came off inside the cover while you were fooling around, fix that

and i'm gonna see if my dealer can get me some more of the springs/balls that worked for me, i'll sale at cost + shipping
i also wrote the ebay dude who has them banshee kicker rebuild kits to see if he has them for blasters ???

well the spring was already getting bad before i messed around with it, so i dont want to take it all apart until i know what im gonna do and then also buy a new gasket seal for the crankcase while im at it. If you find a spring and ball please let me know.

since there seems to be a demand for them again, i'll call and order some sets, then post them next week sometime when they come in

worked on mine all last summer, but on my sons, it just helped a little, i think his actually has wear inside the kicker itself, i also got a few sets for other bro's last year, they reported good results
worth a try for around 6-7 bucks
i'll get some sets ordered tomorrow

Jordan will take a setup too AWK...been using a small bungie for a while. Actually count me in for 2, one for each motor :}

calling and ordering some sets right now, i'll be hollerin

edit...ordered 6 balls and 6 springs,
jordan 2 comin at ya
luke, scotj and hammertime taken care of too
