So I bought a oil block off kit and went to install it but when I tried to pull the kick starter off the shaft it was seized on.

Anyone have an idea how to get it off?

I took the nut off and looked for a retainer clip but did not see anything. Sprayed it with a catalyst and tried hitting with a hammer to break free
But nothing. Currently have a clamp in it to a block of wood to see if some pressure might help but it looks like it is in there.

Will heating it up with one of those propane torches help?

Yes heating it would help, and you could try with a propane torch just like you mentioned and you could also use mapp gas which burns at a higher tempurature than propane, or if you have an oxy acetylene rig or know sombody who has one that would be the best option. But BE CAREFUL if you decide to do try any of those methods, make sure to drain all the fuel out of your tank or at least plug the vents so there's no fumes, and watch out where you heat up ,so you don't start a fire.
