Kick Start

Okay fellas i had cracked my engine in half( meaning opened it up) i want to put it back together but on the kick start it has like a hook wire. Does this have to be placed properly before putting it back together??

Do i need to show photos?

I know what you mean, yea it needs to be placed in a specific place, it gets wound up a little clockwise. The clymer manual should tell you exactly where to put it, do you have one?

is that manual good for the whole atv

yes it is good for the whole quad. if you plan on bein your own mechanic. you need one. go to the link in my first post it has a pic of how to do it

here goes a stupid question my wife threw away my saved files but if im not mistaking the screws that keep that casing on the kick start side is the phillip screws not the hex head correct?

Sometimes freeks kickstart pic helps

1: is where the round clip sits

2: is the kicker gear stop....(the flat metal part)

3: is where the spring sits in
