Kick-start

The spring on my kick-start is dangling and I cant find where to hook it is there a ring to hook it on or something because there was to little pieces of metal that looked like a piece of staightend spring. Am I missing something that snaped of the case inside or am I just blind and cant find where it goes?:-/

theres a little hole at about 12/1 o'clock position that it goes into

ok but what do you think the pieces of metal were they were about the width of the spring, which is what lead me to believe maybe there was a ring that was welded to the case that broke off.

there was two peices one was about 3/4" long the other was about 1' I thought maybe they were one peice that got snapped off when it was kicked over or something.
