kickstart lever dose not turn motor over just gose straight down after a few kick it finley catches and the it starts anybody had this problem

Thanks for the fast reply .It was working fine just started a few days a go another thing is it wont shift i recently used atf fluid i took some advice from a guy that might be the shifting issue idk
Not shifting can be bad. A shift drum can be messed up. Hopefully not though. I always use ATF fluid.
pull that clutch cover soon and don't try to ride it. the kickstarter and the shifting are probably related. it sounded like your spring on the kicker was out of place but w/ the not shifting added in, it sounds like something might have broken on the kicker and gotten in the shift mechanism. keep us posted
Sounds like you chipped a tooth off the kick idle gear , that would explain why it takes a few kicks to catch a good tooth to turn over , I'm guessing that the broken tooth is stuck in the gears hince not shifting, pull the cover and let us know
