Just Pick up an '04 Blaster..

So, after a little research on craigslist i found a '04 blaster. He wanted 850 but i work him down to $650 worth of cash and trade. Blah blah blah we arrange to meet and he pulls up with a practically new bike! Thing has maybe 15-20 hours on the original top end, things is in amazing condition. It was for his wife so it pretty much sat in a storage container for most of its life. Best part about the deal was its got DG nerf bars, Fmf fatty pipe, Turbinecore 2 silencer, K&N style airfilter, Protaper bars, Protaper grips, Fresh front tires, Brand new douglas rims, and the rear tires are stock but have 90% of the tread left. Plastics are perfect except a couple little scratch marks, ETC. Crazy deal i think
Only thing i had to do is clean the carb out (did an hour or so ago) and i still have to order a new petcock rebuild kit. Any suggestions on where to get one?

Ordered my petcock rebuild kit, And a bunch of sh*t on rockymountain today.
Fuel filter/reeds/260 main jet/280 main jet/14 tooth sprocket/ billet gas valve/air box vents/some klotz R50/tusk folding shift lever.
Needless to say, f*ckin stoked.

Wow that's sweet. The deal of a lifetime. I paid 1,200 for mine thru craigslist last sat. The seller claimed it was excellent cond. and it looks good from five feet away but get up close and you can tell it's been flipped, the fenders are hacked in the back for heel clearance and there's overspray from painting the frame and levers and such but the bike is tight chassis wise and all stock like yours. Well I'd like a deal like that but on the other hand if you want to step up the handling of these things as I believe the chassis is somewhat overpowered given the lack of suspension, short wheel base, narrow stance and ballon tires. You just gotta spend some bucks, or so I am learning.

Just awesome, sweet deal. People get rid of things for all sorts of reasons and when the stuff has to go quick it gets priced low. Congrats.
