Hey, im form the U.k dont know how many of you guys are? anyways just bought a blaster on ebay and just wondering if i payed the right price, its a 1999 and has nerf bars (?) a wide rear axle, a fatboy 2 exhaust, and also some pretty decent lookin tyres, anyway i payed £660 for it and was wondering if it was good? its very close to me like a few miles so i hope its worth it?

Is there anything I should look out for? he said it needs a rear disc/caliper but he has never tryed fixing it, could just need bleedin but ill have to check, heres a picture of it, hope it was worth it :)

also do they come in 5 speed and 6?..he thinks its a 5 speed as he hardly uses it :s anyone explain the gears to me?

Also forgot to add, it needs a service so is that just a case of changin oil?..or what else is involved, also what oil do these use? thanks!

yea.Just put a new spark plug in. a ngk br8es or br9es your choice. And change the gear case oil.Replace it with belray gear lube 80 weight. And look at the air filter see how it is if it needs new 1 then replace it.

hey, what oil do i use with the petrol? got any names so i could go to a local shop and find, would halfords have it?

nice looking bike, id say you got a deal, but id do away with TORS, and Oil pump first, change plug and filter, clean carb real good and it should be good to go untill you want mods!

use yamalube, ams oil, mobil 1, idk it depends on if you have oil injection

if you do, make sure it says oil injection compatible

and either use 10w30 motor oil or 75w belray gear saver

yes it was worth it!!

the only crankcase oil you should use is the yama lube oil from yamaha. anything else will kill the clutches.

use any good 2 cycle opil that can be injected.
mobile mx2t is good as well as the yama lube 2 cycle oil.

check out the 4 degree timing advance mod on this site under do it yourself.
it's definately worth doing, 4 degree timing advance adds 2.55 horsepower to your engine.
