okay, i have been helping my buddy work on his 99 here and there trying to get this and that working.
the back caliper was completely frozen up so i took it apart and got it loose. apparently the gasket was haggard and water was getting in. anyway, i sprayed pb blaster to clean it and then put axle grease all in it and around the little ball bearings and made a new gasket for it. it seemed to be working in its motion like it should have, but after bolting it back up it's still like its frozen when i know its not. the brake cables are not in the best shape, but i got the slack out of 'em and adjusted them good.
what could be the problem other than knowing their junk to start with. i'd just like to get them to half way work because the rear hydro setup is out of the question. also, i could possibly get this blaster from him at some point dunno. anyone had decent results from tinkering with them?
