I noticed I got an air leak on my cylinder base gasket so I'm gonna replace it..my ?? Is should I use rtv copper for extra insurance with the gasket?? Opinions plz
I don't have to replace the head gasket with it do it?? And what's the proper heat cycle for the blaster??Factory Yamaha or Cometic base gaskets only
no green, blue, black paper, chiwanese gaskets
proper heat cycles and retorque head and base gaskets = no sealant needed
But no Yamahabond for the base gasket correct??If you didn't remove the head you won't have to replace or anneal it, oem gaskets are best, never used any copper on a base gasket, I use yamabond4 on the reeds/gaskets and cases.
But no Yamahabond for the base gasket correct??
What causes the gasket to get an air leak??No not needed, oem gaskets seal well
What causes the gasket to get an air leak??
Yeah I'm not the one that rebuilt it so idk what kind of gasket is on it now..I ordered OEM ones thoughcould be a number of things, nuts vibrate loose a little, not properly torqued, cheap or inexpensive gasket
What causes the gasket to get an air leak??
Thanks for all help guys..just waiting on the gasket to come to replace itAlso not doing heat cycles and retorqueing after
