what jetting do you recommend? i am getting a new dmc full exhaust set (cause the guy who sold me a used fmf fatty gold series pipe screwed me, HUGE dent in it) and im wondering what size main jet i should get... also the pilot jet.... if that even matters

if its a stock carb, then use a stock pilot and start around a 280 main and go down from there....plug chops will tell all
Plug chop actually refers to warming up your bike, then putting in a new plug, and running it hard from a stop, all the way up to a higher gear, then cutting the key off, pushing the throttle open, and stopping, removing the plug, then cutting a threaded section of side away and reading the color of the ceramic center piece.
Most guys use plug chops in the same fashion, but they dont cut the plug, they just check the overall color of the plug.
The color will tell you if youre good, lean, rich, etc.

Essentially, yeah. The part about cutting the plug is because it is the lower part of the insulator that counts. Personally, I use a flashlight and magnifying glass.
